1. Who we are
Higher Ed Change advises colleges and universities on AI adoption, change management, leadership and accreditation. This website, higheredchange.com, is operated by Higher Ed Change LLC (“Higher Ed Change,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy covers the website only. If your institution engages us for consulting or Higher Ed OS, the handling of institutional, employee and student data is governed by our written agreement with your institution (see section 9).
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and request forms, such as the Executive Briefing request: first and last name, work email, institution, role, and anything you write in a message.
- Benchmark report requests: the same contact details, so we can send your report.
- Booking a meeting: the details the scheduling tool asks for, such as your name, email and chosen time.
- Email and other correspondence you send us.
AI Readiness Benchmark answers
The benchmark calculates your score in your own browser. Your individual answers are not sent to us when you take it. Your score, readiness level and lowest-scoring area are kept temporarily in your browser’s session storage so the page can show your results, and are cleared when you close the tab. If you request your full report, we receive the contact details you enter and your score, readiness level and priority area, so we can personalize the report.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site and its hosting platform may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This may be collected through cookies or similar technologies (see section 5).
3. How we use information
- To respond to your requests, schedule briefings, and send the reports or materials you asked for.
- To follow up about our services. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use the information you submit through this website to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share information only as needed to run the website and our business:
- Service providers who process information on our behalf, including our website, form and CRM platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector), email delivery, and scheduling tools. They may use it only to provide services to us.
- Font delivery: the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Higher Ed Change, our clients or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is reorganized, merged or sold, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website platform may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to work, and others that help us understand site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
The benchmark uses your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
6. How long we keep information
We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, and then for a reasonable period for record-keeping, typically no more than 3 years after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see section 7).
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information;
- stop sending you marketing emails.
Colorado residents and residents of other states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising and certain profiling. We don’t sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please don’t send sensitive personal information, such as student records or government ID numbers, through website forms or email.
9. Student and institutional data
This website is intended for college and university leaders and staff. Website forms are not designed to collect student education records, and we ask you not to submit them.
When an institution engages us for consulting or Higher Ed OS, the collection and use of institutional, employee and student data is governed by our written agreement with that institution, including any obligations under FERPA and the institution’s own policies. In those engagements, we act on the institution’s behalf and under its direction.
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites, including our partner platform at highered.convergeos.ai. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
